<p><span style="color: #888888;">&#8220;I heard about Adam&#8217;s team around September,2009, talking to him about his methods made me extra sceptic, as ideas were not much mainstream&#8230;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">For a few years now my times did not improve at all: 3 Nagyatád Extrememan times: 12h16mins,12h12mins and 12h24mins, also my half ironman times were close around 5h30mins&#8230;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">When I met him and described my situation, he right than seemed knowing the solution. Told me, that my bad marathon times are comes from pure bike strength, although I ekpt telling that my 180km bike times are pretty nice. Anyways I gave it a chance and started to work with him. My schedule was built around bike sessions mainly.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">He splited sessions as I never thought before, and saved lots of times that I could share with my family now and yet for example running sum seemed the same as before. I trained more in the morning and slowly started to enjoy these early work-outs. Common &#8216;long work-outs&#8217; disapeared, and I started to worry as Viennaman got closer and closer. How am I going to perform better if I did not have foolish long miles? and questions like that. On cloudy, busy days, when I got tired from work dark thoughts came to my mind and saw my situation worse. These days I phoned or mailed him and expressed these thoughts. He told me to stop girly talk and believe on hard days as well (actually told me that those days are the most valuable training days- mentally and phisically)&#8230;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">He also made me write diet diary/reports, using it to change my habits. Controll my &#8216;bad&#8217; eating habits and build good habits in my lifestlye. I was overwieghted -ok only a fraction-, so he told me we are looking for support regeneration and injury free times, while training breakless. It quiet worked out at the end, I lost 4 kgs, and my body somehow re-constructed, i sleep better and feel more happy, energetic.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">My 1st main feedback was 4 days ago, 2010 Viennaman, half ironman. I competed here in 2009 as well, thus knew what I want to improve from. My best time was 5h30mins and I have high standards, dreamt about getting under 5 hours, I knew deep it is somewhat surreal. We had rainy months, and I took my shinny new Planet-X Pro Stealth TT bike only 5 times outdoor. I lacked cycling confidence, and was completely unsure how this leg gonna unfold.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Adam gave me detailed race tactics that I had to follow, including nutriments and fluid as well, aslo timing these. I started from a great spot, and despite it failed to swim my best, lost a few minutes somewhere, or just didnt have the usual confident swim. On bike I focused only on my own pace, and race tactics, that I was told. Surprised me at T2, when glanced at my stopwatch: 2hours 37mins&#8230; way better than I was expecting. I ran 1hour44mins, which is 10 mins better than last year. All together I outbested my overall time with 30 mins. That is something shocked me, when my friends kept telling me I finished 4hours59mins. My highest standards frot his period came true, and now with boosted confidence I am looking forward my main IM event in august.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #888888;">&#8220;</span><span style="color: #888888;"><em>I do sports since my childhood, more-or-less, beloved amongst them is cycling. Circa 10 years ago, when I was running instead of chit-chatting with parents at my daughters trainings, something happend, that changed my life. I was swimming a lot as a child, so triathlon came in picture fast.<span id="more-131"></span></em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>I was training from spring to late fall, and than easy on winters. Competed, and aimed new targets again, and again. Later, I only visited triathlon races, only they meant challenges to me… than I reached a point where I felt the training and all the work not worth, as it was not the speed of improvement I expected. I couldn’t even better my Ironman times, and that was the most painful deep inside.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>2009 late September, I met Adam. Changing e-mails I recognized he starts to figure out, that could be wrong, while I felt he was reading me … that is how my metamorphosis started. We touched the bellows:</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em> </em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>- 1st of all, was my diet… had to report detailed. Here I faced, all the things I ate, and really why I am at a point where I carry 10 kgs extra , running or climbing hills on bike… was difficult at the beginning to leave the crunchy bread on the table for everyone to eat it. It took me 2 weeks to get used to, and I was never hungry. Today I am 79 instead of 88 kgs – this was my twenty’s weight. and now it is 43’s as well J</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>- Swimming. I was taught to swim by a swimming pool master, thus I was not all about technique. He recognized, reported, and bettered things that seemed to me „little details” at first. I practiced them for months. Now it is a new dimension.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>- Running. that is where that 10kgs extra came in, as a huge factor before. Since I lost all of it, I am flying. awesome feeling. We discussed a lot about shoes. flats versus monster „high technology” . from now on we are on it to practice running on thinner sole shoes.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>- Beside aboves, he tailored a program on me, and we keep in touch daily or weekly, and periodically change where he feels it is time to step forward. My family supported me all the way long, I recieved a turbo trainer from them so I can execute Adam’s killer bike session no matter the weather conditions.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em> </em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>I you ask me, what did he changed? How did he helped?</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><em>He changed me! Only sport and diet wise, regarding to anything else, he accepted me as I am. He fitted in, while he changed me? Yes, even if it seems paradox 1st. I learned a new approach to my diet, thus my natural weight formed – which happened be 10 kgs less than that was when we met. It is way more fun now to run, i enjoy session as never before. With my new swimming technique I swam my dose faster, and it s a huge success to me. I am satisfied and happy now in my shape.</em></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #888888;">When I first met Kata it was very obvious her „kit” is built for triathlon, luckyly after a short chat I quicly found out her aim is exactly to become a real triathlete.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Furthermore she had a pretty solid sport background (kayaking, athletics) and quickly realized she is a nut-head, very goal-oriented and capable of bear tons of workout, only if she got the right (suited) training plan. At the beginning I had a few downs, finding out she is carrying some flamations and probably some shin splints. Plus she never recieved any proper swim coaching, thus lacked the right swim techniques. All she did was blocking her moving forward whenever she hit the water. Knowing that in triathlon you can’t win but hugely lose during swimming our first concern was teaching her to swim as a triathlete.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><span id="more-116"></span>The work we did in last 3-4 months are built on the followings:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><span style="color: #ed0972;">-</span> She was not running for 2 full months at the beginning. We needed to eliminate the flamation in her body and enhance healing processes. Also had to work for future well being and injury free state. I planned these months to correct her mucle inbalance and improve flexibility where it was neccessary due to the features her damaged area of body. She headed the gym for 2 reasons: 1) to speed healing mechanism, 2) to strengthen muscle required to help her changing bad running technique. We also chose better fit running trainers for her, as she was using these ultra shinny, thick soled fashion shoeses. Now she run in racing flats and enjoy running as never before, injury free.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><span style="color: #ed0972;">-</span> Thus we also used these running free months to analize her swimming techniques and determine specific drills that will force her to adapt the right technique for her body structure. We do not have much time though to work on her swimming, as Kata has a full time job, thus swims only 3 times a week.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><span style="color: #ed0972;">-</span> Another area we developed while having her healing was cycling. Her previous bike fit was simply terrible. Needed to change almost everything dramatically (not taking that she was told to buy a way too big frame for her- thus we needed to be tricky to solve it, as she didnt have the fortune to buy a new smaller frame). I am concerned her flamations (or half of it) came from poor bike fit (and very bad running shoe chosen). That we corrected and now she looks and feels as a rela cyclist. Already we spent 3 months on building strength and power on the bike, and she showed no sign of any injury or flamation on sensitiv areas.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><span style="color: #ed0972;">-</span> Beyond all above mentioned we emphasized a very determining area: nutrition/diet. My curent knowledge and experiences ( gained mostly by those years i spent coached and advised by Alun Woodward ) allowed me to help her reaching her optimal weight (she was a bit under it). Thus she shows more toleration to training stress, feels more energiezed and relaxed (and doesnt show a bit of flamation for months now).</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;"><span style="color: #ed0972;">Presen</span><span style="color: #ed0972;">t</span>:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">She is running fluently for more than a month now, showing no sign of flamation and pain. She is over three<span style="color: #ed0972;"> 5 Km</span> local run contests, and personal bested her prev time, clocking <span style="color: #ed0972;">20’57</span>”.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">She also gave her last <span style="color: #ed0972;">100m</span> freestlye record to the past, out besting it with 11 seconds, now owning a shinny <span style="color: #ed0972;">1’34</span>”, and we didn’t even started on quality swims, only having drills over drills.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">She is in full job and she consider herself as a real amateur (age-grouper), although i see her attitude as a real pro. She will show some surprise to herself and her friends soon on spring and summer of 2010.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">And last but not least her own words, transalated by me, as I asked her to share that she feels needs to be shared, of course without our secrets J :</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">„ <span style="color: #ed0972;">There are no such thing as accidental</span> &#8230;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Happened on a August morning, while we tried to find our ways on public swimming pool lanes, that we chatted a bit. Soon found out we think alike&#8230;</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Short sport story: 7 years of elite kajaking, hobby swimming during the college, some running and spinning, and 2 years ago: triathlon!</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Unfortunately this season went with having trouble with left leg’s injuries. I tried to stick to moving, I had to keep huge gaps concerning running&#8230; and the case got worse and worse. I didn’t really understood what was wrong, visited several doctors and tought a lot, but without success. I was having tendovaginitis and shin splints when I met Adam. Right at the first chat he mentioned details that spot the light in my head. I was suprised when he offered to ride to his home and he will have a glance at my bike fit. Before he also checked me running and filtered possible reasons to 2-3 causes. He changed a lot my bike parameters, and the way home i hade a brand new feeling riding the same speed more easy and didnt feel legs stressed.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Meanwhile Special-Se got formed. Having conversations and trying out his advises I realized I met an approach that takes clients as a whole unit, and uses complex analizis, thus i decided to join his team. My last term plan was to be able to do sports without pain and injury, improve my techniques and if all goes okay have races later on , in 2010.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">We started the work&#8230; Emphaszied swimming&#8230; Less K-s in the pool but more tired as before, as all the time correct execution is crucial. I found out he doesn’t give 2 same advices to his athletes, we recieve very small details to build in our techniques, and yet experience huge improvements.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">I was widely surprised by my running&#8230; I ended up 3 month without a K to run. And didin’t believe that with these cycling sessions and special conditioning I can get vene better form in running as I stopped doing. And the main concern: flamation was gone.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">And last, my diet.I had to restructure my eating habbits. Also was surprised by the advises, as they seemed unique. And before you think I started to lose weight, actually I gained. First as a normal woman being I started to panicing. But after a period and numerous calming letters from Adam, showed me that my weight got stabilized at a certain  amount. Now I feel more confident, doing way more training sessions, way more quality in it, and no sign of injury or pain.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #888888;">Gergő Molnar (kayak, quadrathlon responsible coach of Special-SE) finished 4th on his 1st ever Quadrathlon race. It happened to be the World Championships, 22.08.2009., Sedlcany, Czech Republic.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Later on, in 5th of September, 2009, he won 2nd place on the Quadrathlon European Championships, Koln, Germany. He, thus secured everyone, that Hungarians are back again to aim high in this very demanding sport. Considering that he is only 23 and these 2 races were only his 2 ever quadrathlon races, well, he is not so far from claiming European and world championship titles soon, very soon.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #888888;">With these 2, great news we would like to proudly announce, that Special-SE is going to open its gates for all, who found our methods and work ethics very sympatic, and are interested in the following sports, in any level: </span><em><strong><span style="color: #ed0972;">triathlon, duathlon, quadrathlon, swimming, running, cycling, kayak, body-building, fitness and lifestyle/diet </span></strong></em><span style="color: #888888;">( last bits might are not sports, but organic parts of our services). Wants to lose weight, already tried a lot of fancy method, but failed all the time? Has several health problems, such as: asthma, allergy, joint/back injuries, sleeping disorder… etc?</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">1st of all we aim age-groupers, and want to reach with this „new” method (online-coaching) to those who can’t afford to visit local clubs, too busy, and feels the need to have own, personalized training/diet programs. Kindly would like to visit our quality workshops, or occasionally training camps, with similar level members. Would like to share experiences on our forums and would like to read elite advises from our coaches or more experienced club members.</span></p>
